Arsenal are in advanced talks to sign RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko and are finalising a deal for Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga. The Gunners are also keen on Morgan Rogers and Rodrygo as Mikel Arteta eyes a big summer.

Chelsea have made a bid for Jamie Gittens after agreeing a long-term contract with the Borussia Dortmund winger. The Blues are also pressing ahead with a move for AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan as they look to get deals done before the Club World Cup.

Manchester United could face a transfer fight for Bryan Mbeumo after Thomas Frank told Tottenham he wants to take the Brentford forward with him to north London if he lands the Spurs job. Liverpool are closing in on a double deal for Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez, while Manchester City look set to sign Rayan Ait-Nouri, Tijjani Reijnders and Rayan Cherki. Brighton make offer for Olympiacos forward

Charalampos Kostoulas could be set for a move to Brighton this summer after the Seagulls tabled a £34m offer for his services.

The 18-year-old would become the latest in a long line of wonderkids to be reared at the AmEx Community Stadium, which has become something of a proving ground for young talent in recent seasons.

Kostoulas, a regular in the Greek national youth setup, enjoyed his first full season with Olympiacos’ senior side this year, scoring seven times in 22 League appearances. Last season, he and his teammates won the UEFA Youth League.

Italy sack Spalletti

Luciano Spalletti will return to the manager market this summer after the Italian national team announced he would leave following tomorrow’s meeting with Moldova.

The decision comes after the Azzurri were beaten 3-0 by Norway last night.

Italy have failed to qualify for either of the last two World Cups (Qatar 2022, Russia 2018), failing to escape the group stage in the two previous tournaments (Brazil 2014, South Africa 2010).

Spalletti led the side to victory in the 2020 Euros, but the Tifosi will hope his replacement can inspire the side to buck their ideas up in pursuit of an appearance at the 2026 World Cup in the United States.

United consider Everton striker

Manchester United are considering a move for Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who will be available on a free transfer this summer after his contract expires in late June.

United need to revitalise their attack, and a free move for Calvert-Lewin could suit their prickly PSR standing.

The 28-year-old is considered an ‘attractive’ option for several clubs, with Newcastle United, Tottenham, West Ham and Nottingham Forest also considering moves.

Calvert-Lewin scored three goals and assisted one in 28 Premier League appearances last season.
