Chelsea have made a bid for Jamie Gittens after agreeing a long-term contract with the Borussia Dortmund winger. The Blues are also pressing ahead with a move for AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan as they look to get deals done before the Club World Cup.

Manchester United could face a transfer fight for Bryan Mbeumo after Thomas Frank told Tottenham he wants to take the Brentford forward with him to north London if he lands the Spurs job. PSG in talks for Bournemouth defender

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly interested in a move for Bournemouth centre-back Ilya Zabarnyi.

Talks are underway, according to Fabrizio Romano, but no agreement has yet been made.

The Ukrainian appeared in 36 of Bournemouth’s League matches this season. His departure would be a considerable blow for Andoni Iraola, who lost his other go-to centre-back in Dean Huijsen earlier this summer.

Italy sack Spalletti

Luciano Spalletti will return to the manager market this summer after the Italian national team announced he would leave following tomorrow’s meeting with Moldova.

The decision comes after the Azzurri were beaten 3-0 by Norway last night.

Italy have failed to qualify for either of the last two World Cups (Qatar 2022, Russia 2018), failing to escape the group stage in the two previous tournaments (Brazil 2014, South Africa 2010).

Spalletti led the side to victory in the 2020 Euros, but the Tifosi will hope his replacement can inspire the side to buck their ideas up in pursuit of an appearance at the 2026 World Cup in the United States.

United consider Everton striker

Manchester United are considering a move for Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who will be available on a free transfer this summer after his contract expires in late June.

United need to revitalise their attack, and a free move for Calvert-Lewin could suit their prickly PSR standing.

The 28-year-old is considered an ‘attractive’ option for several clubs, with Newcastle United, Tottenham, West Ham and Nottingham Forest also considering moves.

Calvert-Lewin scored three goals and assisted one in 28 Premier League appearances last season.

The Dane is expected to agree a deal next week.

Mbeumo scored 20 league goals last campaign, with The Mirror reporting Spurs are willing to offer him £130,000 per week. United are reported to have tabled a wage packet featuring a weekly sum of £250,000.

Kerkez leaves Hungary camp ahead of Liverpool move

Liverpool’s extended pursuit of Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez may soon come to a close.

Rudy Galetti reports that talks are now down to the fine details, with the player’s bonus structure the final wrinkle to iron out.

Liverpool are expected to agree a package worth £40m-£45m.

Kerkez has now left the Hungarian national team’s camp ahead of their meeting with Azerbaijan, leading many to speculate he will travel to Liverpool to complete his move.

It had previously been reported that while he had joined the Hungary camp, he was not training as all parties hoped to avoid undermining the deal with an injury.

Spurs face £10m fee to land top target Frank

Tottenham will have to pay £10million to land top managerial target Thomas Frank.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has made Frank his No1 choice to replace Ange Postecoglou but, according to the Mirror, will need to meet his buy-out clause to get him out of Brentford.

The report says Brentford have no reason to compromise on the figure, which will need to be paid in full.

Frank 'always joked' about joining Tottenham

Thomas Frank is in line to land the Tottenham job as Spurs prepare to step up their pursuit of the Brentford boss.

Brian Riemer, a former member of Frank’s staff at Brentford, has been discussing his links with Spurs and has had some interesting things to say.

“Tottenham has always been my favorite club,” said Riemer. “At Brentford, we always joked that if we were going to move on from Brentford, it would be for Tottenham.

“It's a club that has had some challenges over the past season and there's quite a bit of work ahead of them. But Thomas deserves that chance. He's done a fantastic job.”

Man Utd star rules out Old Trafford exit

Rasmus Hojlund has dismissed the idea that he could leave Manchester United.

The striker has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford, with reports in Italy claiming Inter Milan are interested in signing him.

But, speaking to TV2 after Denmark's 2-1 win over Northern Ireland on Saturday, Hojlund said: “I have a contract until 2030 [his deal actually runs until June 2028, with United having an option of a further year], so I expect to play for Manchester United.

“I'm looking forward to a little summer break and then I'm fully dedicated to the project.”
