Rock documentaries come and go but few are directed as artfully as Cameron Crowe's tribute to the grunge band who have survived the fluctuations of taste over 20 years.

Kurt Cobain and Neil Young are there among the luminaries having their say about Eddie Vedder and the band - but, of course, the music's the thing and Crowe lets it rip.
